Social Studies 11 explores Canadian history from 1900 through the end of the 20th century. This course provides students with opportunities to develop research, communication and presentation skills as well as skill in critical thinking and media literacy. Topics covered in this course include World War I, World War II, Canadian governance and law, and Canadian geography. Social Studies 11 is a graduation requirement and students must write a provincial exam worth 20% of their final grade to complete it.
